Update: May 23, 2001 - Phil Conger reports: "My brother Mark Conger just acquired the 6 metre IRENE. The boat was owned and raced, 15 to 20 races every year for more than 50 years by Eugene E. Beebe. I first started racing on Irene in 1968 so I am most happy to help Mark put the boat back in order. Beyond that, it is just nice to have it in the family."
