Invitation: The Puget Sound Six Meter Association invites all Six Meter sailors to participate in the 2009 Sir Thomas Lipton Cup

Venue: Port Madison Yacht Club, Bainbridge Island, Washington. The races will be sailed in Port Madison Bay.

Rules: The regatta will be governed by the 2009-2012 Racing Rules of Sailing in addition to the rules of the International Six Meter Class, and the Deed of Gift of Sir Thomas Lipton Cup except as amended by the sailing instructions.

Eligibility: This regatta is open to all Six Meter Yachts as defined by the measurement rule. Eligible Yachts may enter by completing the entry form and paying the entry fee.

Schedule: 5 races are scheduled, conditions permitting.

June 20 First Race 10:30
Dinner at PMYC 6:30

June 21 First race of two planned 10:30
Trophies 2:00 approx.

Courses: Racing will be on courses of windward leeward or triangular design. Course lengths will be as conditions permit and in accordance with Deed of Gift. All yachts, both classics and moderns shall start at the same time.

Scoring and Awards: The winning boat, skipper and crew names will be engraved on the perpetual trophy. Other trophies and awards may be made at the pleasure of the organizing authority. Three races shall constitute a series.

Moorage and Launch: Protected free raft up moorage is available at the Port Madison Yacht Club Friday through Sunday.

Fees: The race fee will be $50 US per boat payable at the skippers meeting. Dinner Saturday night will be at the at PMYC. Preparation will be a 6 meter group effort and costs will be announced at the skippers meeting.
