- History: Owned for many years by Swedish Olympic sailor Thomas Lunqvist, who campaigned the boat extensively throughout Europe. Sting has been strong on the 6mR World stage and epitomizes the strength of Pelle Pettersen designs - they can always be a threat for the podium. She most recently finished 2nd of 16 at the 2016 European Championships in Brunnen, Switzerland and 5th of 24 at the 2017 Vancouver Worlds both times under Russ Silvestri. Sting was donated to the Schooner Martha Foundation in February 2020 and will next compete under charter at the 2020 North Americans at Point Roberts Race Week.
